One thing must be said about the Chrysler Pacifica: it keeps us on our toes (thankfully not literally). The 2024 model is no exception. With a variety of powertrain options, including multiple hybrid trims, as well as an impressive towing capacity and fuel economy, it’s hard to find another minivan that’s so versatile.
This article is all about celebrating the greatness that is the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica. (If that seems like a strange way to talk about a minivan, keep reading). Here’s our comprehensive review and buyer’s guide.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica specs & pricing
Word on the street is that Chrysler is saving up its major changes to the Pacifica for down the line. As such, the 2024 model doesn’t offer much in the way of dramatic change. The Pacifica Pinnacle trim includes a new Sepia interior color option, and other trims have the option of Red Hot and Baltic Gray on the exterior.
Additionally, the Chrysler UConnect infotainment system includes a new Emergency Vehicle Alert System, which identifies oncoming emergency vehicles and notifies the driver of the need to yield.
Aside from those changes, the 2024 Pacifica maintains the solid features from previous models. Here’s our rundown of the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica specs, pricing, and trim levels.
Pricing
Depending on which trim level you choose and whether you take advantage of Chrysler’s extensive add-ons, the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2024 Pacifica starts just north of $41,000 and goes up to just under $62,000.
Trim levels
The 2024 models are a bit pared down this year, with only two hybrid options available going forward. Here’s a brief summary of each of the trim levels so you can choose the one that best fits your needs. In this article, we’re going to focus exclusively on the traditional ICE trims.
Pacifica Touring
The Pacifica’s base-trim, offering an impressive array of safety features. On the outside, you get 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlamps, taillamps, and fog lamps. Inside, the Touring is decked with cloth seats, first-row heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. Not bad for a base trim.
Pacifica Touring L
The Touring L takes safety to the next level with the added Safety Sphere, providing a 360-degree surround view camera. Additional safety features include ParkSense Front Park Assist wand Stop and Parallel Perpendicular Park Assist. The Touring L also includes available all-wheel drive.
Pacifica Limited
Next up is the Limited trim, which adds 18-inch aluminum wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and available Stow N Place Roof Rack system. On the inside, you get a luxurious look and feel with premium Nappa leather-trimmed seating, first-row heated and ventilated seats, and second-row heated seats.
Pacifica Pinnacle
If you’re looking for upscale, the Pinnacle offers a truly stunning design, with 20-inch polished wheels with Baltic Gray pockets and Platinum Chrome exterior accents. Inside there’s exclusive premium Sepia quilted Nappa leather-trimmed seating, second row captain’s chairs with removable lumbar support pillows, and a sensational suede headliner.
Powertrain & performance
The 2024 Pacifica includes both front- and all-wheel drive options. The standard 3.6-L V-6 engine can produce up to 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All told, this powertrain can reach 60 mph in 7.3 seconds.
Maximum towing capacity
So how much can the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica tow? With the all-wheel drive option, the Pacifica can tow up to 3,600 pounds.
Fuel economy
According to the EPA, the fuel economy for the front-wheel drive Pacifica is 19 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined. The all-wheel drive option comes in at 17 mpg city, 25 highway, and 20 combined.
Interior features
On the inside, the 2024 Pacifica offers plenty of leg and elbow room, not to mention enough cubbies and cupholders to stash stuff to your heart’s content. As mentioned above, the interior materials vary, but the higher-end trims offer a luxurious look and feel.
The Pacifica comes standard with Stow ‘n Go seats (after all, it has a reputation to live up to). The Hybrid models, however, exclude this feature—where else would you expect the battery to go? It’s just as well, as with the seats stowed, you can fit up to 50 carry-ons. So unless you’re a hoarder, you’re probably good for storage either way.
Infotainment & connectivity
We alluded to this above, but every Chrysler runs the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, and Pacifica gives you a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a customizable home screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.
Safety features
Standard safety features on the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning.
Warranty & maintenance
The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica comes with a limited warranty covering three years or 36,000 miles, and a powertrain warranty covering 10 years or 100,000 miles. Hybrid components, on the other hand, are covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles. No complimentary scheduled maintenance is included.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Let’s quickly walk through the hybrid version of the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica. This eco-friendly vehicle sports the same 3.6-L V-6 as the others, but adds two electric motors backed by a 16.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Together, these can generate 260 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque. According to the EPA, its fuel economy comes in at 82 mpg with gas & electric, and 30 mpg gas only.
